Generally, when people find out that they have Seborrheic Keratoses, they tend to get nervous. The reason as to why people are generally kept in the dark is because of the fact that this disease is not very common, and, it is definitely not life-threatening. This disease is basically a skin condition in which there is an excess accumulation of keratin in that person. Great article! I didn’t know all of that. Seborrheic keratoses is a quite nasty disease
Seborrheict Keratosis is not a disease is just a skin condition so please stop calling it ‘disease’.
And one more thing: seborrheic keratoses can become painful if gets inflamed
I suffer of seborrheic keratoses for 5 years.
I didn’t find until now the right treatment. I’ve tried a lot of pills and creams for this diseases but no results. Please advice me what should I do …
George, let the pils and creams away because won’t help you. The creams are just for keeping the irritations under control as I know. Read about treating it with hydrogene perioxide or with liquid nitrogene. From my point of view those two are the best options.
Take care!
I am shocked to hear that you are saying that this is a disease. I’ve had this condition for many years and have seen several dermotologists and have had many, many leisons removed and not one dr. said that it is a disease. Where are you getting this info from? They’ve all said that it is over exposure to the sun. Please help, if you know differently. What is the cure?
Mary, I don’t want to scarry you but this is really a disease and not a joke. I see at least weekly a person that suffer of seborrheic keratosis and had late with the treatment and trust me is not a very nice image. If you really have seborrheic keratosis, please go to a good dermatology clinic and remove them ALL.
Best wishes.

My wife have seborrheic keratosis since January 2004. From my point of view the worst trauma that seborrheic keratosis is giving you is the psihycal one
9 years with seborrheic keratoses? OMG! Why don’t she ask some treatment options from a dermatologist?
Any good doctor can treat seborrheic keratoses in maximum 2 weeks
Actually, I don’t think that any doctor need 2 weeks to remove (I supouse that is what you want to say with treating) the seborrheic keratosis.
The doctor will freeze, burn or cut the growths in a few minutes and after that the pacient will need a few days for recovesy and that is all
Right, but after the seborrheic keratosis removal you may need a few days / weeks until the skin will get hill. I guess that is what Dalia wanted to say.
What do you guys think about removing seborrheic keratosis by surgery? Are there any risks involved?
No risks! If you have any health problems discuss that with your doctor and he will tell you if there can be any risk involved.
What major risks can have a surgery that last less than 10 minutes? In 10m they removed me 4 seborheic keratosis growths…
Go and cut them all without worries! Seborrheic keratosis surgery is a easy one and there are no risks involved.
I’m 35 years old and starting with last year I got a lot of seborrheic keratosis growths on my leg. A lot means about 40 pieces on each leg. I saw a dermatologist and his first question was: DOC: “does someone from your family have seborrheic keratoses?”
ME: “Of course, my mom”
DOC: “Mhm, you have inherit it from her”
He also saied that the only treatment available is the surgery because I have very many growths. To be honest with you I’m afraid of blades, blood and anything that is linked with the word surgery. Please tell me that there are other available treatments for seborrheic keratosis. Something like creams, pills, herbs etc
I had a 3 weeks seborrheic keratosis treatment with Crac cream. That is a cream used to get rid of acticnic keratosis.
Interesting. What are the that you got after that treatment?
Seborrheic keratosis is a skin lesion, that usually appear in multiple places and occurs around age 50. Seborrheic keratosis mainly concerns seborrheic regions that is to say, face, chest and back. It can also occur on areas such as bending inframammary folds.
If we examine more closely the skin lesion it is an outgrowth (growth exaggerated skin) or bistre brown 5 to 20 mm in diameter, which is covered with a coating fat squao-keratinocyte adheres slightly to the skin and covering a lesion is characterized by small paillome.
